THE BIG DRAW
The Campaign's annual flagship programme connects communities in creative ways. Launched in 2000 as a one-day celebration,
The Big Draw is now a month-long festival of over 1500 events organised by national and regional museums, galleries, heritage sites,
libraries, schools and community centres across the UK. Over 20 countries join the UK annually in offering events.
Big Draw, Big Make kicks off the 2012 season at the Victoria and Albert Museum on 30 September. Free pop-up studios and workshops,
led by some of The UK’s top artists and designers, will invite visitors of all ages to become illustrators, architects, fashion or product
designers for the day.
Drawing Inspiration Awards are presented to the most innovative and engaging events.
They are sponsored by the Barbara Whatmore Charitable Trust and NADFAS. Visit Drawing in Action to see
the latest winners and exciting examples from previous years. Email us at admin@campaignfordrawing.org
for an invitation to the awards ceremony on 17 May at the Courtauld Institute of Art.
Drawing Action, a one-year programme
funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, has developed a regional network of Campaign Associates – artists and arts educators – to support those interested in using drawing more effectively in cultural and educational settings.
